CurveNY August 2013 Recap
Sunshine and Lace…
That’s the best way of describing the bright and airy atmosphere at CurveNY this August. After a few weeks of brutal, humid weather in New York City, visitors to Curve enjoyed a few cool days from August 4 – 6, 2013 at Jacob Javits Center.
Over 200+ lingerie and swimwear brands participated with CurveNY and Eurovet, parent company to Curvexpo, rolled out a few new developments including a dedicated emerging brands area, a New Account Program, and trend seminars by Promostyl.
Brands to Watch
As always, CurveNY presents a feast for the eyes for any lingerie buyer and fanatic. We were able to meet with a variety of brands from some of the biggest names in the industry to indie newcomers. Here, we’ve picked out a few to share with our readers.
Tia Lyn Lingerie
Established in 2001, Tia Lyn is known for its use of delicate and innovative fabrics, contemporary designs and fit — every style is offered in sizes S, M, L, XL, 2X and 3X.
Many exhibitors described the buyer traffic as “good” and a Curve press release said that over 3,500* visitors attended — a 16% increase over August 2012 (*figures based on Curvexpo press releases from 2012 and 2013).
