ILS 2017 Update

The world’s largest free-standing sign awaits visitors when they arrive for the International Lingerie Show (ILS) at the Westgate Hotel in Las Vegas in just a few months.
Standing at 279 feet tall, the iconic sign’s 10 golden rays unfurl up and outwards and are lit up by over six miles of neon and florescent lights. It’ll be a new visual for ILS-ers and one of many new experiences slated for the April 2017 show.
For those unfamiliar with ILS, this trade event brings together the largest variety of lingerie, accessory and pleasure product brands twice a year in Las Vegas.
ILS is an opportunity for specialty and novelty buyers to learn and experience brands they may not get a chance to discover on their own. That’s the show’s strength – diversity.
“We’re finding that the retailers that are successful have a wide range of products at their stores,” said the show’s Michael Moreira.
Unlike previous editions of the show, all of the booths are set up in one main area at the Westgate’s Paradise Event Center in a similar layout both exhibitors and buyers are used to.
The trade event’s Meet and Greet get-together returns on Monday, April 3, 2017. The next morning starts promptly at 8am with the ILS Fashion Show Breakfast. Models are slated to weave in between tables to show off lingerie and accessories to buyers.
Returning to the ILS Show and the new venue are Seminars
“Topics range from how to take advantage of social media and advertising to how to maintain an online presence,” said Michael.
Other topics the show is looking at incorporating into future seminars are inventory management and merchandising for brick-and-mortars.
“We want to create a full business environment at the show,” said Michael. “A selling environment and an educational environment to help retailers.”
